Whenever people ask me why I joined the Peace Corps, I always respond, "It's because of Donald Trump!"
No, I don't hate business that much. Donald Trump has been a key positive influence in my decision.
During the spring of 2003, I was accepted by two graduate programs. The first was at the Monterey Institute of International
Studies, a very prestigious school. The second was the Peace Corps Masters International (PCMI) program at the University
of Washington. This is a very unique program that combines a year’s worth of public management study with two years
of Peace Corps Service in organization development.

to accept. One day while I was watching the final episode of The Apprentice, Season 1, one of your executives asked a candidate,
“What can you bring to our organization?” As a knee-jerk, my thoughts answered, “My name is Jason Cammarano.
I have a Masters degree. In addition, I went abroad, worked with this specific organization with this specific project.”
Since that was a quick response, I decided that was the program for me. I have always valued practical experience more and
used education to enhance it. Thus the PCMI program has been a perfect matc
